All
animals have a right to a decent quality
of life. Because they are to be eaten
does not mean they should suffer cruelty
and extreme stress in their often short
lives. The U.S. agribusiness should
follow the lead of Europe in phasing
out factory farming as soon as is conceivably
possible. It is a shame, and a poor
reflection on this country, that so
many animals should suffer so horrifically
to line the pockets of a few.
