At
a general meeting, August 27, 2001,
of the Committee for Animal Rights and
Education, the Board and members unanimously
agreed that food animals are entitled
to protection under the law and we find
that agribusinesses are abusing and
exploiting these animals for their monetary
gain.
We
firmly believe legislators and the public
should give animals full protection
under the law and there should be an
acknowledgment that food animals experience
pain and suffering as all animals do
including our own species.
