From
the Greeks we get our modern day understanding
of soul and spirit, but we all too often
limit it to ourselves. The Hebrew Bible
(The Old Testament) teaches us that
both humans and the other animals are
all living souls (Hebrew: neh-fesh khah-yaw).
We cannot ethically or Biblically eliminate
this fact. If we humans have souls and
spirits, then so do the animals, and
they deserve a better life.
We
all enjoy life. We all want to be free
to live our lives as God intended, and
not be slaves to one another. We all
want to be free of pain. Animals are
our companions and not our commodities.
What we are doing to animals on our
factory farms is evil and ungodly. It's
time it STOPS. It's time we stop eating
animals' flesh and by-products. God
has given us an abundance of plant foods
to satisfy our every need and desire,
and to keep us much more healthy.
